Task and Functions

The USU Directorate of Law and Organization is an Academic Support Unit that assists the Rector in coordinating and formulating the Rector's policies, reviewing, conducting studies, advocating, and strengthening organizational governance within USU. Provisions in Article 26 of the Regulation of the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Number 8 of 2022 concerning Academic Support for the Universitas Sumatera Utara, the USU Directorate of Law and Organization functions as a coordinator, formulator, reviewer, reviewer, and organizer in the implementation of programs to meet the targets of performance agreements, strategic plans, and priority programs in the field of law and organization. The USU Directorate of Law and Organization, in carrying out its functions, has duties by the provisions in Article 26 of the Regulation of the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Number 8 of 2022 concerning Academic Support of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, namely:

• make an annual work plan and budget;
• elaborate Performance Agreements, Strategic Plans, and Priority Programs in the form of work programs and activities;
• coordinate and formulate the Rector's policy;
• conducting reviews in the field of legal and organizational studies;
• coordinating and reviewing memorandum of understanding and cooperation agreements;
• organize and form the organization into the proper function;
• conduct supervision and evaluation of the organization;
• conduct socialization of law and organization;
• making periodic reports to the Rector; and
• carry out other additional duties from the Rector.
